Christmas is just around the corner and I’m sending wishes that you enjoy the holiday with dear friends and family creating lasting memories!
As I write my final message to you for 2018 – looking forward to 2019, I’m thinking of how lucky I am that you all let me in your inbox time and time again. I’m thinking back on what a year 2018 has been and mostly, thinking of the marvelous people I had the opportunity to meet, work with, and have engaging social time with. I’m fortunate to have mentors and coaches that I can rely on. But there’s one person this year who I consider a dear friend, respect as a fellow entrepreneur and rely on his coaching, Dean Akers. Please know that because I cherish my relationship with you – my readers, I would never introduce you to anyone I didn’t think was worth of your time. Dean sure fits. And as I take on 2019 with a slight spin on my messaging, it will be with Dean’s gravelly voice speaking in my ear and I thought you might enjoy him too. So here’s where you can hear a sample Dean Akers. Thanks Dean!
For most of us it seems that 2018 has been a banner year. I’ve heard from some of you that revenues and personal income has met or exceeded expectations. Congratulations to all! This time of year is perfect for reflecting on the engaging work performed, the personal accomplishments reached and the difference that our work means in the scheme of things. At RealWired! we were successful in our mission to help others learn to use good processes and technology to streamline the real estate process, whatever that process is in your world. The year reinforced a couple of things that I think are worth sharing with you, that you might want to take into 2019.
- Don’t over-promise or you’re sure to let people down, including yourself.
- Speak with everyone, like people you really care about; even if it’s hard.
- If you have a point to get across, find a way to put it in a story – a very short story.
So what to look forward to next year? I’ve got some plans that I look forward to sharing and ask if you’ll take a moment and share with me your anticipated challenges and ambitions to help me, help you! I’m really looking forward to 2019 and hope you are too! I hope the holidays give you joy!!!
PS: If you read this far…yes, that’s my mom, husband and grand boys!
